Dubnica nad Váhom, September 14, 2026 – The announced installation of charging stations with an output of up to 1 MW at motorway rest areas within the ejoin GO network is now a reality. Slovak charging station manufacturer ejoin has successfully tested a 1 MW charging station under real-world conditions.
ejoin operator s.r.o., the operator of the ejoin GO charging network, will offer charging power of up to 1 MW at all motorway rest areas. This charging capacity will be available for both passenger cars and trucks. The first charging test at a 1 MW charging point was successfully completed.
RECORD-BREAKING CHARGING POWER
1 MW charging stations are no longer just a thing of the future. The ejoin GO charging network has successfully tested a 1 MW charging station at one of the motorway rest areas. The test used a connection directly from the distribution grid, with a passenger electric vehicle capable of supporting 1 MW charging provided for the test.
The charging power achieved was more than double the previous record in the ejoin GO network, which was set at the charging HUB in OC Korzo in Bratislava.

FUTURE-READY INFRASTRUCTURE
The charging stations in the ejoin GO network, installed at 11 motorway rest areas, will offer charging power starting at 480 kW, compared with standard charging stations, which typically provide 300 to 400 kW.
However, 480 kW is only the starting point when it comes to the available charging power. Every motorway rest area equipped with ejoin charging stations will also offer one charging point for passenger cars with an output of up to 1 MW. Where a rest area is also equipped with charging stations for trucks, 1 MW charging power will be available there as well.

- Zlaté Piesky (towards Bratislava)
- Červeník (both directions)
- Považská Bystrica
- Predmier
- Jarovce (towards Bratislava)
- Hybe (both directions)
- Levoča
- Valaliky (both directions)
- Milhosť (towards Košice)
Drivers will have access to between five and nine charging points for passenger vehicles at each rest area, depending on the location. Four rest areas will also offer charging points specifically designed for trucks. All charging points will be available to the public by the end of September, with the exception of the Hybe – Juh location, which is awaiting completion of the distribution grid.
